Current Science Unit
Our first science units will be the "Nature of Science" and then "Cells

In the "Nature of Science" we will learn about our science labs, the scientific method, classifcication, and safety in our scienc labs.

external image overview_scientific_method2.gifThe scientific method is used on all experiments;
Each time we will begin with
1) Asking a questions? What is it we want to know?
2) What do we need to know to do this experiment?
What will our constant variables be?
How will we test?
3) What is our Hypothesis? What do we think the out come will be?
4) Testing...actually conducting our experiement.
Some experiments will take only one period and some may take
a number of days of observation.
5) Analyze results and draw conclusions to what happened, what was
the result of our experiment.
6) Report your Results
7) Was your hypothesis correcct?
If not, where did things change?

CELLS

ALL living things are made up of cells.

Animal cell anatomy

*The nucleus is the control center of a cell.

*Cytopalsm surounds the parts of the cell allowing them to
move about.

*Chloroplast are found ONLY
in plant cells, contain
cholophyll which is use
in the process of photosynthesis.

*Ribsomes store RNA proteins *Golgi store Protein and carbohydraytes

*Mitochondrion stores energy *Lysosomes contain digestive enzymes
